Seen on HGTV’s Designed to Sell, Curb Appeal, Curb Appeal the Block and Curb Appeal X-Treme, John’s role will assure a world-class event garnering interest from the media and the public reaching far beyond Florida.
Born in Istanbul, John attended American schools in Turkey & Switzerland before entering Yale University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture. An enthusiastic art and math student, he also earned a master’s degree in architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.
Some of his favorite projects include the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Union Square in New York, the campus plan for Carnegie Mellon University and a pavilion for the
2008 Olympics in Beijing. Before beginning his career in television, John got his start as a fashion model for Armani & Gucci. He has written a book on native planting that is coming out in 2023 and has done numerous residential renovations all around the country. You can see him online with “In the Room” with John Gidding and as a guest on Rachel Ray and other popular shows.
John is an environmental and animal advocate. His commitment to the Grand Citrus Festival is inspired by art and music bringing people together around a cause that is fundamental to our very existence.
