The Grand Citrus Festival is truly a spectatular celebration of art, education, and philanthropy.
Our event will include a variety of ticketed events, beautiful sculpture, tasty food, concerts, and activity for kids.
Inspired by the Fête du Citron in Menton, France, the Grand Citrus Festival is a four day world class festival designed to be the signature event in the City of St. Petersburg in Pinellas County, FL.
The garden setting of the festival will be Vinoy Park which borders Tampa Bay adjacent to the St. Petersburg Pier - the center point of tourism and attractions in the downtown area.
Vinoy Park will be transformed into a stunning sculpture garden filled with amazing citrus art designed by John Gidding, funded by corporations, providing an interactive & visual experience. With upscale food & wine, entertainment, demonstrations, meet & greets, unique art and lots of giveaways, the Grand Citrus Festival is poised to become a long running destination event for all ages.
Purpose and Goals
- Establish a signature tourist attraction for Pinellas County
- Celebrate & showcase the citrus industry that is synonymous with the history of Florida
- Large scale event fostering the arts, education and philanthropic initiatives
- Inspire young people in the arts, philanthropy and S.T.E.M.
- Demonstrate to the community the direct benefits from the charitable initiatives associated with the Festival, including the donation of an artificial reef
- Educate the public on environmental issues
- Support local businesses and create local jobs
